“Capisco un po ‘italiano” translates to, “I understand a little Italian”. Which I don’t.
At least not well enough to communicate anything meaningful. With a single day’s practice I can ask if the other person speaks English, tell them that I do not understand Italian, and then make awkward hand gestures. Not bad for a day’s work.
